MILITARY MEMBERS, RETIREES, and DEPENDENTS
|
If you are a member of the military, including the Reserves or the National Guard, your legal issues may require the attention of an attorney familiar with the unique challenges faced by military members, retirees and their dependents.
Special issues faced by military members and their dependents include protections of law under the Federal law, especially the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act. If you are in the midst of a divorce, military retired pay and military benefits can become a key issue. Child support issues involving military members require knowledge of military allowances such as those for housing, subsistence, service "in theatre", reenlistment bonuses, or special pay for certain fields of expertise.
If a member of the National Guard of the Reserves is arrested while in civilian status, the military member's attorney must be aware of the potential consequences to his career, including the possibility of nonjudicial punishment, administrative discharge action, or even action under the Uniform Code of Military Justice ("UCMJ").
As a former JAG officer who has represented military members and dependents in civilian Courts, Courts Martial, and administrative proceedings, Carlton Folsom offers the experience to represent you and your special needs.
Special rates and discounts may be available for Military members and their dependents.
